Data & Biometrics

In collaboration with the team of Prof. Enrico Caiani at the Polytechnic University of Milan, since 2018 several studies have been conducted to show the feasibility of measuring stress-related biometrics such as heart and respiratory rate by collecting motor data using commercial unmodified VR headsets. The goal is to simplify data collection through VR devices, with no additional sensors involved, opening the possibility to personalize the virtual experience to patients’ personal needs and conditions.


In collaboration with the research groups coordinated by Prof. Stefano Rossi of the University of Tuscia, the Niccolò Cusano University and the University La Sapienza of Rome, we’ve contributed to project RAISE, developing a virtual reality gamified interactive experience able to sync with a custom haptic exoskeleton to support upper-arm rehabilitation protocols.
